We are individuals, so why shouldn’t we be loved individually?

Hey-O blog readers!I am going to apologize for leaving you hanging last time I posted. I’m here now, so don’t despair!
Over the last week the one thing that has really struck me about Christ’s visit to the Americas (Do you remember the bit in John about Christ’s other sheep? This is who he was speaking about!) in 3rd Nephi, is the care that he took with each and every person. Not just as a collective group, but as individuals. I think that something we fail to recognize-sometimes on a daily basis-is that our Savior loves us on a personal level. He and the Father love us so much! Yes, they do care about everyone, but just think about how much they love YOU. Heavenly Father sent his own begotten son to die for YOU. Christ paid the ultimate price for YOUR sins. The only thing that we are really asked to do in return is to be obedient to the commandments. If you look at it that way, it doesn’t seem like such an unachievable goal, now does it? Of course there will be hard times in our lives. There will ALWAYS be things that we will struggle with and wonder why we are going through such a process. The trick is to remember that we are allowed to have these trials in our life, so that we can learn, grow, and teach. Have you ever noticed someone going through something that you’ve already encountered and conquered? Have you been able to give them advice on how to handle the situation, or to look forward to what the future has in store? That is one of the many reasons I believe we have these trials. Another thing to remember is that Christ didn’t only atone for our sins, but he suffered for ALL of our hardships. He paid the price and it is our job to not pay that price again. He did it so that we don’t have to. Our pains can be swallowed up in his love if we allow them to be. He KNOWS us.
You know your family members pretty well, right? Even if you don’t really get along with them, I am sure that you could predict what they would do in a certain situation, or be able to know what they need to help them in a situation when they don’t know what to do. Well, here’s a news flash: if Heavenly Father is our Heavenly Father, and Christ is his son, then that makes us siblings! He knows you. He knows me! How wonderful is that? He knows us so well that he can comfort us in our darkest times. When we need a helping hand, he will be there! A lot of times we don’t even recognize he blessings we have been given-the tender mercies he bestows upon us each day!
I want to issue a challenge to you (I’ll do it too!) for this next week. You can decide of you want to tell me if it worked or not, but I would love to hear from you!
For this next week, every time you notice a blessing (it can be anything from seeing a baby laugh to a prayer being answered) WRITE IT DOWN! Find your journal and write it down! If you don’t have a journal, start one! You will not regret it!
Here’s the second part: every time you feel like something didn’t go the way you wanted it to, or you feel down about something, find one good thing and post it to Facebook or twitter! (I personally recommend posting to twitter, because it is a better outlet for multiple posts in one day.) I guarantee that you will have a wonderful day and go to sleep knowing that you are loved.

That’s all I have for this week! I love you guys!
I am on my phone right now, so I can’t post a link, but look up “One By One” by Hillary Weeks. šŸ™‚

Have a great week!
